Teltronic strengthens communication with tactic mobile unit in firefighting operations in the Pantanal

São Paulo, July 18th 2024.

The State Public Security Secretariat (Sesp) of Mato Grosso, in collaboration with Teltronic, has implemented a mobile Base Radio Station (ERB) to reinforce communication in firefighting operations in the Pantanal, Brazil. This advanced tactical unit is essential for government agencies, enabling effective and direct communication with the Integrated Public Security Operations Center (Ciosp), the civil defense, and the Environmental Emergency Battalion.

Mounted on a 4×4 truck and equipped with a 15-meter high antenna, the ERB can be deployed close to the fires, ensuring signal coverage in remote areas within a radius of up to 20 kilometers. This equipment also includes a backup unit and a power generator to ensure continuity of operations under any circumstances, demonstrating the robustness and flexibility of the solutions provided by Teltronic.

The Deputy Secretary of Civil Defense, Colonel BM César Brum, highlighted the importance of communication in emergency operations: “Communication in a disaster is fundamental for the command and control of response actions, contributing to the structuring of all the logistics of the operation and the efficiency of actions.” This project is part of Sesp’s Digital Radio Communication Network, implemented in 142 municipalities and 30 districts, with an investment of approximately R$ 90 million.

Teltronic’s technological solutions have proven valuable for civil defense and community protection, improving the effectiveness of operations and providing greater safety for everyone involved. The partnership between Teltronic and Sesp of Mato Grosso is an example of how innovation and technology can be applied to tackle environmental challenges and protect lives.
