- Teltronic accumulates four nominations at the International Critical Communications Awards

Teltronic will take part in the next edition of Critical Communications World, the major global event for the critical communications industry to be held in Vienna from 21 to 23 June, where it will present its proposal on TETRA, LTE and 5G technologies.
The company will showcase its solutions for the transport and public safety markets and for the industrial and utilities sectors. Broadband solutions will once again play a leading role at the stand, showcasing the possibilities offered for real-time video transmission and data intelligence applications, making it an optimal communications platform in the digitisation process towards Industry 4.0.
Thanks to a demo installed on a fully virtualised network, visitors to the stand will be able to experience first-hand the capabilities of Teltronic’s communication solutions and its portfolio, which includes network infrastructure, terminals, personal cameras, on-board equipment and its control centre solution, NG CeCoCo.
It will also present its portfolio of MCX solutions, which includes the RTP-800, the first on-board terminal for transport environments, whose platform supports MCPTT, MCData and MCVideo functionalities as defined by 3GPP, as well as the functions described by the FRMCS specification (Future Railway Management Communication System).
In addition, Teltronic will also be an active part of the conference programme; the product manager specialising in the transport sector, Sonia Miguel Saúco, will participate in the panel Focus on railways: the future of railway communications, in which she will share Teltronic’s experience in the implementation of communication solutions for the railway sector, as well as the vision of what these solutions will be like in the future. The session will take place on Wednesday 22nd at 12.45 pm.
FOUR NOMINATIONS FOR THE ICC AWARDS
Teltronic has accumulated a total of four nominations for the International Critical Communications Awards, the most prestigious awards in the field of critical communications, which will be presented in the framework of Critical Communications World.
Thus, the RTP-800, a multi-technology TETRA, LTE and WiFi on-board equipment that has already demonstrated its capabilities both in the FRMCS plugtest and in its first deployments, aspires to become the “Best MCX device of the year”.
The deployment for EDESUR (Argentina) will compete for the award in the “Best Use of Critical Communications in Utilities” category. The great strength of this nomination is that, thanks to TETRA and the Teltronic SDM (Synchronous Data Manager) patent, the communications system allows real-time detection of any incident that occurs in the distribution network, making it an invaluable tool for companies in the electricity sector.
Finally, in the category of “Best use of critical communications in Public Safety”, Teltronic has two candidates. On the one hand, the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Network (RESCAN) is a finalist for its excellent performance during the volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma and its valuable role in the management of the emergency, contributing to the coordination of the different agencies deployed. On the other hand, and hand in hand with our Mexican partner Jomtel, the project to modernise and update the Ciudad Juárez Immediate Response Centre also aspires to be the best project of the year in this category.
