Teltronic is taking part in the 9th MCX Plugtests™, the interoperability testing event organized by ETSI, with the support of the Critical Communications Association (TCCA) and the Union Internationale des Chemins de fer (UIC), hosted by Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, US.
This is Teltronic’s fourth participation in MCX Plugtests, and the eighth if we also count the FRMCS Plugtests, highlighting the company’s strong commitment to interoperability and standard technology.
The goal of this MCX Plugtests event is to validate the interoperability of a variety of implementations using different multi-client/vendor complex scenarios based on 3GPP Mission Critical Services. The format of the event will be live testing conducted face-to-face over 4G and 5G networks.

Specific focus will be put on cross communications, including the Interworking Function (IWF) to other technologies like TETRA and P25, off-network communication, and interMCX scenarios (enabling the connection of different systems, agencies, or countries).
Teltronic has traveled to Texas with its full solution: MCX Server, MCX Client, Dispatcher (CeCoCo), 4G Network, 5G Network, and TETRA network. The company will participate in interoperability scenarios with multiple vendors, in interMCX by connecting to other manufacturers’ servers, and in IWF, both with our TETRA network (connected to our server) and with our server connecting to third-party TETRA networks.
Observer Program
Additionally, Teltronic is once again joining the Observer Program, where interoperability presentations and demonstrations will be held for mission-critical communications operators and end users participating in the session. The objective is to examine and discuss the progress of deployment and the challenges in testing Mission Critical Services for Public Safety and Public Transport.
