Zaragoza, November 2017. Teltronic has been awarded with a new railway project together with the Spanish railway company, CAF.
This project is Quito Metro Line 1 (Ecuador), which comprises 22 km track in length and 15 passenger stations between Quitumbe and El Labrador.
3 lines more are foreseen in the future so that the Metro will be the main transport system of “Sistema de Transporte Público Metropolitano de Quito (SITM-Q)”. It also provides service through buses and BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) systems which complement the city’s mobility.
Teltronic will deliver for this project on-board equipment of the model RTP-603 adapted to the specific configuration required by CAF to comply with the network operation requirements. Furthermore, this professional equipment, fully certified on EN50155 and EN45545 rail normative, will be integrated with the on-board Public Address central and CAF’s Cosmos system, using the maximum performance of this solution.
Felipe Sanjuan, Teltronic’s Business Development Director of Transport, said: “We are delighted that CAF has placed its trust in Teltronic for Quito Metro. Recently, both companies have worked in Istanbul Metro where Teltronic’s professional solution has been integrated in CAF’s rolling stock. Undoubtedly, we hope to replicate projects like this to maintain our market leading position”.
